Upcoming Professional Development

This Summer Empowered STEM is here to help you get hone your ability to conduct high-quality PBL. Based on an intensive review of educator’s needs conducted by a team of experts, we created an entirely new approach to supporting your implementation of PBL. Our research-informed workshops are customized to focus on the skills and knowledge educators need to bring PBL alive. Join our training staff and a team of classroom educators for an exciting learning journey.  

We are dedicated to taking high-quality PBL into the distance learning environment. With full school year support, and a suite of materials, Empowered STEM is built for this transition

If you are looking for PBL professional development that helps you build the skills and confidence to help your students take on authentic problems and meet their civic responsibilities – then these workshops are for you.


Three week session beginning July 20
– Mondays & Thursdays from 11am-1pm EDT
– Includes 2020-2021 school year support from Earth Force Staff
– Cost $125
unless:
– Waived fee and stipends available (*Space is limited*) for sponsored districts in select VA, MD, and CO communities. Check with gedinger@earthforce.org to see if your district qualifies.

Six week session beginning July 22
– Wednesdays from 5-7pm EDT
– Includes 2020-2021 school year support from Earth Force Staff
– Cost $125 unless:
– Waived fee and stipends available (*Space is limited*) for sponsored districts in select VA, MD, and CO communities. Check with gedinger@earthforce.org to see if your district qualifies.

2020-2021 School Year Support:
As the school year begins, our staff will remain with them as they facilitate their students assessment of environmental issues, search for root causes, and develop a plan to create civic change. We will focus on supporting educators as they expand their classroom toolbox and help them discover unique ways to address challenges as they develop.
